This year, the Annual EtHu Seminar is dedicated to three of the most prominent and challenging figures of 20th-Century French Philosophy: Deleuze, Derrida and Nancy.
The seminar is divided in two different activities: close reading sessions and lectures.
The first day consists of two close-reading sessions on Derrida’s “The Supplement of Copula: Philosophy Before Linguistics”, a fundamental work for understanding the revolutionary character of Derrida’s philosophy. These sessions are coordinated by Derrida-scholar Prof. Dr. Alberto Andronico (University of Catania).
In the second day, three French Philosophy specialists, Julie Van Der Wielen, Pieter Meurs and Alberto Andronico, will offer an introductory talk about Deleuze, Nancy and Derrida.
Because of its dynamics and introductory character, the Annual EtHu seminar is open to undergraduate, graduate and PhD-students without any background on these philosophers.
