Berta Galofré Claret is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Philosophy and Moral Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She is currently focusing her research on Emmanuel Lévinas' aesthetics, with special attention to the concept of shadow and obliteration in order to demonstrate and/or challenge his hermeneutic strategy in the conundrum of ethical representation. A project that seeks to explore its potential for further development within the fields of Hauntology and Spectrality Studies, as well as Trauma Studies. She holds a BA in Humanities (Pompeu Fabra University, Spain, 2021) and a MA in Contemporary Philosophy (University of Barcelona, Spain, 2023).
