Tammy Castelein

Tammy Castelein works as an assistant at the Department of Philosophy and Moral Sciences, Free University of Brussels (VUB). She studied Philosophy (MA, 2002) and Comparative Literature (MA, 2004) at KU Leuven. Her doctoral dissertation, No More Heroes; Heidegger Between the Wars, studied the ways in which the rhetoric of war was present in Heidegger’s ontological project from the start  (University of Amsterdam, 2012). Her research interests are German interwar philosophy, the messianic, and fashion. She is currently writing a book on clothing and philosophy.
